Debra Barker is a family nurse practitioner who is board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana-Monroe in 1980 and later attended Mississippi University for Women where she received a Master of Science in Nursing in 2009. Debra has experience as a RN in various settings including Critical Care, Neurosurgery, and in Nursing management.  As a Nurse Practitioner, she worked for many years in Pulmonary Medicine and later enjoyed providing care to patients in a Family Practice setting. Debra remembers that “nursing is really the only thing I have ever wanted to do.” She enjoys her patients and always wants them to leave her feeling a little better than when they arrived. At Advanced Interventional Pain Management, she not only is focused on clinical excellence, but enjoys providing compassionate emotional support for each patient as they face the challenges of living with pain. Debra and her husband of 40 years relocated to Northwest Arkansas to be closer to their family, especially the three grandchildren! They enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and family time.
